Basic Limit Texas Holdem Poker Starting Hands

One of the first things a new Limit Texas Holdem poker player should learn is which basic starting hands to play. A lot of new players play way too many hands, and as a result lose their bankroll quickly. They never really get the chance to enjoy the game, or learn more advanced strategy because they play every hand, and you cannot win at Texas Holdem consistently playing every hand.

Here are some factors to consider when deciding which hands to play:
1. How many players are at the table?
- You should play less hands when the table is full (8-10 players) than when the table is short-handed (6 or less players).

2. How many players are in the pot before you?
- If there are several people in th pot before you then you can play weaker draw hands like 6,7 suited and Ace,rag suited because you will have better pot odds.

3. What position are you in at the table?
You can play weaker hands in late position, but in early position you only should play premium hands.
